It's all about the "U"! Love us or hate us, you will respect us.

Well last weekend was the best weigh in day that I have had since I started.  It may take me another week just to get back to that point again after what I did last Saturday after I worked out.

Since I believe in what I am doing in regards to calorie cycling, Saturdays are my days to go off of the diet and eat and drink whatever I want within reason.  My feeling of accomplishment overwhelmed me, though, and instead of just doing it the one day, Saturday turned into Sunday, Sunday turned into Monday and when Tuesday morning came and it was time for me to go and work out, "ahh lets sleep in and go tomorrow" came over me.

That whole weekend became a lesson for me.  I gained 8 pounds back.  Eight.  I drank too much beer and ate too much food and did not work out at all for three days total.  I went back to my old ways and when I did go back to the gym on Wednesday I almost cried when I read the scale.  I could not believe it.  That bothered me all week.  Yesterday I finally accepted the fact that what was done was done and all I needed to do was make sure that it does not ever happen again.  Never again if I want to lose weight.

So I worked out hard the rest of the week and I am two pounds off of what I was last week.  I did go and do my usual Shoney's breakfast buffet after my workout this morning and then later I helped a girl move for a bit and then I came back to clean the house.  I worked some calories off for sure and when I went to the grocery store today all I bought to eat was foods that I learned were the ones that take more calories to digest than you take in when you eat them.  So that will be my diet for the next couple of weeks to see if that works for me while I doing my hour of cardio five days a week.  There will be NO beer tonight and all plan on doing is relaxing since I am exhausted.  Remember that I get up during the week at 2:30 a.m. and on Saturdays, 3:30a.m. so I am pretty tired by the end of the day.

I will get back to where I need to be and I will succeed in this.  I need to lose thirty more and I will keep looking for the right routine and diet to find the best, healthiest way for me to lose the weight and keep it off.  Tomorrow I will plan out my weeks meals.  I will be keeping the caloric intake at or below 1200 calories.  I will be eating a lot of spinach, asparagus, dairy products (I will have to watch that very careful because cheese contains a lot of calories) and drink a ton of water.  Water is the key you know.  Cold water.

I am going to seek some more help though.  I have been told that it will take time for me to get rid of this beer gut and even though people have seen a big change in the last two months I want more changes.  Now, not later.  So I will seek what else I can do to burn it away.  I learned that doing ab workouts, although firming, also inflate the ab muscles.  So I wonder if there are types of cardio exercises that might help in the "gut removal" process.  We shall see.  When I get through with all of this I plan on posting a before and after pic.  I have not posted a pic of me here, I have on Myspace, and that is because I do not like the way I look.  So now I am doing something about it.
