Ahhh, the weekend has finally arrived.  It was nice to turn that alarm off and leave it off.  I can sleep in a bit para manana.  After I put Mattie out at around 6 am.

I bought some tickets to the U.T./South Carolina college baseball game tomorrow.  I havn't been to a game this year so I am looking forward to it.  The only two seats together I could get were right next to the student section.  If you have never been to a U.T. game, that is where all the "hecklers" sit!  This is going to be fun.  A nice sunny Saturday at the ballpark.  It doesn't get any better!

After that, it's me against the lawn.  Man against nature.  Tall grass battling against my mower.  May the mower win.

I came to the decision today to pull up all of the rest of the carpet in the house and have the floors refinished.  Once I buy this house I am taking out money for that and some appliances.  I love carpet so hardwood floors will take some gettting used to.  This house was built in 1945.  It has original hardwood floors that have been covered by carpet for as long as I know.  My aunt never even remembered the hardwood when she lived here when she was growing up.  Part of me is looking forward to it.  If it comes out nice, I think I will be happy.  The bad thing is that I will now have to start being a little cleaner because hardwood floors show everything.  I may have to buy some stock in a throw rug company because they will be all over the house.  Do they all need to match or can they different?  I don't know the answer to that decorating question.

After that I know I will get the painting bug.  I may do it before I refinish the floors.  I already am coming up with ideas for one of the rooms.  I can feel that "work" looms ahead of me.  I wonder if I can hire someone?
