My friend Mike made an observation about me the other day that I am still thinking about.  He said that my music tastes are changing.  Now that may not sound like a big deal but for all of my life I have surrounded myself with hard rock and roll.  But for the last year or so I have been listening to and going to see other artists, mainly Bluegrass types.  It started with The Larkins, which whom I hope to see perform this summer.  Next it was Ricky Skaggs and now Robinella and the CC Stringband.  I want to go tonight to see Robinella play here in Knoxville, but since I would be going alone I may not go.  Nevertheless they will playing in Maryville next month and Mike said that he and his wife would go with me to see the show so that should be a confirmed concert date for me.

Now I did go and see Shinedown last year and that was probably the best concert I have ever seen, save U2, so I am not abandoning my heavy metal roots all together and I do own both of their cd's.  But I do have to admit that I do like the mellower music now.  Ah yes, the mellomc!
