Today is day 4 of the "Get rid of the Gut" campaign. Since Tuesday I have gotten up at a little before 5 a.m. and went to the gym, done some cardio exercises and then gone on to work. Every day around 3 or 4:00 in the afternoon my energy level crashes. Today was no different. It was however one that I decided to eat dinner for the first time this week and I was craving sugar so bad I went to Sonic and bought that cookie dough blast. The cutest redhead, one that made my heart stop, brought me my desert. My mouth must have dropped when I saw her because she put on the biggest smile. Ahh, motivation for tomorrow. Too bad there is nothing remotely healthy to eat there or I would go back again.
I plan on doing a light cardio workout tomorrow but Sunday is going to be my total workout day. I plan on using all of the cardio machines for an extended amount of time. Maybe twenty minutes on all seven of them to see which of them I like the best. Right now the eliptical is by far the best one. That is the closest to running without running that I have felt before. Right now it is all I can do to keep from climbing into bed right now. They tell me my body will get used to this but I doubt it will happen any time soon.
I must say that I really like getting up and doing this workout thing before I go to work. There are very few people at all at the gym. I can get to the machines with no problem and all of my workout is finished before the sun comes up. But this is the weekend and there will be no 5 a.m. wake up calls. My dog Mattie better get other ideas at 5 like sleeping instead of waking me up. Other wise there might be some flying shoes heading her direction.
