I got one of my two new toys today!  My Alpine CDA-9853.  The latest installment to the Alpine  CD Players.  Just out this year!  When I confirmed my purchase on Tuesday the guy said I was lucky to get it because it was the last one and that Alpine had backorders on it!

I got it hooked tonight and here is what I have to say about it:  It is the clearest head set I have ever heard but it has very little bass.  This means I will have to have an amp and a sub.  The sound cranks up with no distortion, at least so far.  It is kind of hard to take without much bass.  My mids should be in on Monday and I know they have a bass center so the sound should get better.  I need to set the crossover and the tie in tomorrow and that will help also.  That tie in is cool.  It sets the sound up to be heard based on where the speakers are in relation to the listener.  It measures the speed of sound that comes out of the speakers in relation to where the listener is seated and regulates it to make the best possible stereo sound effect.  Wow!  But the bad thing is that I now have to program it all.  That may take weeks! LOL.  If I knew how to post the pic of it in the blog I would but all it is a car stereo system and everyone knows what they basically look like.
